Bryan Dunn joined the Science Department in 2020 and today serves as Assistant Head of School for Program, Co-Director of the Penn Fellows Program, member of the ISP Committee, Community and Culture Committee and Admission Committee, and Head Coach of Varsity and JV Cross Country. He holds a B.S. from William & Mary, an M.Ed. from Boston College, and an Ed.D. from Northeastern University.

Ethan Faust ’13 joined the Classics department for the 2025-2026 academic year. Before returning to RL, he worked as a Penn Fellow and language arts teacher at the Gilman School in Baltimore. Before that, he was a Summer Session teaching intern at Northfield Mount Hermon. Ethan has been a freelance author since 2019 and is currently editing and seeking publishing deals for several of his books.

Alessandro Ferzoco ’14 returned to his Alma Mater in 2023 to serve as a member of the Development and Alumni Relations Office, where he is currently Director of the Annual Fund. During his time as an RL student, he was an editor of Tripod, a track and field team member, and a debate team member. He also established the first garden on campus. He was a well-respected student and was present on campus, as reflected in his being selected to deliver the kick-off dinner address in his senior year. He graduated from Harvard College in 2018 and worked as a researcher at the New England Historic Genealogical Society before his RL return.

Julie Garvey has been a Development Associate at RL since 2014. She holds a B.S. from UMass Amherst and previously worked in the Boston Public Schools system. She is also a mother to three RL alumni.

Kristen Gibbons began joined RL in 2022 as Assistant to the Head of School. Kristen boasts similar connections to RL as her two predecessors. Kristen is the mother to two RL alumni, Brendan ’19 and Aidan ’23. She is also married to an RL alumnus, Paul ’86, and together they have served as co-presidents of the Parents’ Auxiliary. Kristen is a Milton native and earned a BA from Holy Cross. She had an early career with Fidelity Investments at which she served in customer service, as well as in marketing, and investment resources. Her family spent thirteen years in Chicago where she was active as a school volunteer and helped as both a fundraiser and a liaison for parents. Kristen has worked similarly on behalf of the Dover-Sherborn School District and the Dover Education Fund. Most recently, Kristen has run her own successful floral business.

Matt Golden is the Assistant Director of Athletics and Head Coach of Varsity Football. He also is a faculty advisor to the RL@Work program, coach of Fifth Baseball, member of the Admission Committee, and teacher of Health and Wellness. He holds a B.A. from Bates College where he was a running back and captain of the varsity football team.

Tom Guden, Class of 1996, is the Assistant Head of School for Advancement and a member of the Classics Department. He also serves as Class IV Dean, and coach of Junior Hockey and Third Baseball. He earned his B.A. from Bowdoin College and M.A. from Tufts University.

Ernesto Guerra joined the modern languages and history departments as a faculty member in 2008. Originally from Puerto Rico, he came to New England for college when he gained admission to Brown University. Shortly after graduating, Ernesto began a fifteen-year scholarly journey at Harvard. Initially a Teaching Fellow and then a Preceptor in the Romance Languages Department, Ernesto taught a dozen courses and advised many students. In 2001, Ernesto was awarded a master’s and a Ph.D. in Romance Languages and Literature.

Wasib Hayat joined RL in 2022 as the Director of Information Services. He leads all IT and Audio Visual operations at RL. Over his career, he has worked at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Hocoma North America, and Atos. He holds a BS from Northeastern and an MS from Harvard.

Chris Heaton has been the Librarian and Archivist at Roxbury Latin since 2013. Before joining the RL community, he served as a history teacher and cross country and track and field coach at Xaverian Brothers High School for fifteen years. Chris’s teaching and coaching experience includes a stint teaching a range of courses to seventh and eighth graders in Nepal and serving as the head women’s cross country coach at the University of Scranton. Chris received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton and earned an MA and an MS from the same university. In 2012, having become increasingly interested in how excellent teaching could be complemented by robust support from librarians and libraries, he entered the Simmons College Library and Information Services Graduate Program, receiving yet another master’s. In addition to running the Library and the Archives, Chris assists with the track and field and cross country teams.

Ken Hiatt, Class of 1993, joined RL in 2004 and serves today as Associate Director of Information Services. He is also a member of the English and Art Departments. Prior to working at RL, he was an application developer at Endeca, an enterprise search software company. He is one of the faculty advisors to the debate program and student publications. He is also a member of the Community and Culture Committee. He earned his B.A. from Princeton University.
