RL Giving Day is a 24-hour fundraising event taking place this year on Friday, March 3. All gifts made on this day go toward the Annual Fund, in support of Roxbury Latin faculty.

Giving Day: March Forth With Us

We can’t thank you enough for helping to make Roxbury Latin’s fifth annual Giving Day a resounding success. With your help, we raised more than $809,900 for the Annual Fund—including $150,000 in challenge money from generous trustee donors—with 1,341 gifts, in 24 hours. Every dollar raised on March 3 will go directly toward supporting our faculty. Your generous support—in dollars and in words of love for teachers, coaches, advisors—went far above and beyond our expectations for the day. Your gifts will preserve the school’s core values, while ensuring that students are equipped to lead and serve, taught by a talented, passionate, and dedicated faculty, who are committed to knowing and loving the boys in their care.

  • What is RL Giving Day?
    RL Giving Day is a 24-hour fundraising event that took place this year on March 3, 2023. Gifts made on that day (from March 2 at 6 p.m. through March 3 at 6 p.m.)—from our alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends—went directly toward the Annual Fund and will help us to support Roxbury Latin faculty.
  • How do I make a gift?

    Due to the tight time frame of RL Giving Day, only gifts made online or over the phone from March 2 at 6 p.m. through March 3 at 6 p.m. count toward our overall totals.

  • Is my payment secure?

    Absolutely! You can make your gift securely online. Your information is never sold or shared with any third-party organizations. Your credit card information will never be stored.

  • Is there a minimum donation?

    No! Every gift counts, regardless of size.

  • How can I be part, in addition to making a gift?

    We hope that, in addition to making a gift, you will follow along throughout the day at our Giving Day campaign page, where you can follow our progress, learn which classes have the highest participation, create your own gift matches or challenges, and hear about some of the remarkable individuals who have supported RL students and alumni along their journeys. We hope you will also share your enthusiasm about the day with your RL friends and classmates.

  • Is my RL Giving Day contribution tax deductible?

    Yes, your gift is entirely tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

  • Where do my gifts go?

    Gifts made on Giving Day support the Annual Fund. The Annual Fund allows us to honorably compensate the men and women who dedicate their lives to teaching, coaching, and advising Roxbury Latin boys, and to support the full Roxbury Latin experience of all boys, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. RL’s Annual Fund makes up 22% of the school’s operating budget each year.

  • Why does RL care about my participation?

    Gifts of every size matter and help RL invest in and support students and faculty. Your participation matters and signals your belief in your school!

  • Can I participate if I didn’t graduate from RL?

    Yes! Students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends may support RL on Giving Day. All gifts count toward the day’s total and support the mission of the school.

  • What if I have already made a gift to RL this year?

    Thank you for your support! We appreciate your commitment and encourage you to consider another gift during Giving Day to help us reach our goal. We also need your help in promoting Giving Day to others!

  • How can I help promote RL Giving Day?

    We encourage you to share the news, images, and messages of the day with your friends and classmates. Send an email, text, post on your Facebook or Instagram page, tweet, blog, yell, put signs on your lawn. It’s all encouraged!
