Elizabeth Carroll, Roxbury Latin’s Dean of Academics, joined RL in 2013 as a member of the Science Department, after teaching for two years at Thayer Academy and working for 20 years as an Environmental Consultant. She earned her B.A. from the University of Virginia and her M.E.M. from Yale University. She is co-chair of the ISP committee, faculty advisor for ECOS, member of the Admission Committee, member of the Community and Culture Committee, and a faculty advisor to student publications. She also works with the Development Office to help place students in summer internships. She is a trustee of the Winsor School and also serves on the Board of Advisors of GBH.

Dave Cataruzolo is the Director of Alumni Affairs and Head Coach of Varsity Hockey and Baseball. He is also the director of the RL@Work program, a member of the Admission Committee and ISP committee, and one of the faculty advisors to student leadership. Prior to RL he was the Director of Hockey Operations at Harvard and an Assistant Professor of Physical Education and Head Men’s Ice Hockey Coach at Trinity College. He earned a B.A. from Bowdoin College and a M.A. from Trinity College.

Josh Cervas has been teaching at RL since 2001 and serves as Chair of the English Department. A member of the Admission Committee and faculty advisor to RL’s chapter of the Cum Laude Society, he coaches Fourth Baseball and advises the Sixie Seminar program. He earned a B.A. from Amherst College and an M.A. from Middlebury College.

Anthony D’Amato joined the RL Science and Math Departments in 2024, after teaching and coaching at Xaverian Brothers and BC High, as well working in instructional design at a cybersecurity company. He earned a B.S. from Loyola University in Maryland where he was a Division 1 swimmer, and he earned his M.Ed. from Boston College. Anthony coaches Third Soccer and Fourth Baseball and is a member of the Admission Committee and Community and Culture Committee.

Rary Delaney joined the Math Department in 2006, after a professional career as an actuary and equity analyst, and then a teacher at Newton North High and Boston Collegiate Charter. She holds a B.A. from Bowdoin College, an M.B.A. from Boston University, and an M.Ed. from Harvard University. She is a member of the Admission Committee, the faculty advisor to Chess Club, helps with RL’s in-house tutor program and Model UN, coaches Junior Tennis, and helps to lead the debate program and community service efforts.

Sarah Demers joined the English Department in 2019. She holds a B.A. from Brown University and a M.Ed. from Harvard University. Prior to joining RL, she worked in financial aid and admission at Friends Seminary School in New York; as an educator and Director at the TEAK Fellowship in New York; and as a teacher, coach, and dorm parent at St. Andrew’s in Delaware. She serves as RL’s Class VI Dean, a member of the Admission Committee, and a member of the Community and Culture Committee.

Karen Dinon has been RL’s Director of Financial Aid since 2014. She holds a B.S. from Suffolk University. Before joining RL she worked as Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Suffolk; Associate Director of Financial Aid at Bentley; and in the Financial Aid Business Office at Gann Academy.

Jon Doerer joined RL in 2024 as a Penn Fellow, teaching in the Mathematics Department as he works toward his M.Ed. Jon holds a B.A. and M.A. from Notre Dame, where he was kicker for the football team for five years. Prior to RL, Jon worked in the North Carolina and Boston Public School systems. Jon is a member of the Admission Committee and coaches Varsity Football and JV Basketball.

Erin Dromgoole joined RL in 2006 as a member of the History Department. She also serves as the school’s Director of Academic Support. She holds an A.B. from Dartmouth College and M.A. from Tufts University. She is a member of the Admission Committee, and the Head Coach of the Varsity Track & Field team and Junior Cross Country team.
