Juniores Ajudam Residentes Recém-Chegados de Boston, em Colaboração com o Pine Street Inn
A 9 de Fevereiro, juniores de Roxbury Latin e The Winsor School juntaram-se para uma iniciativa de serviço conjunta, em colaboração com o Pine Street Inn, que tem vindo a ajudar a população sem-abrigo de Boston há mais de 50 anos. Os rapazes da classe II acolheram os seus colegas Winsor durante uma noite no campus, que começou com uma apresentação de Luke Cronin, Gestor de Programas Voluntários no Pine Street Inn, na Sala Coral Evans. Após a apresentação e sessão de perguntas e respostas, os estudantes foram divididos em oito salas no edifício Perry para montar cestos de boas-vindas, que seriam entregues aos residentes recém-chegados colocados através do programa do Pine Street Inn. Os organizadores do evento montaram uma "loja" no McNay Palaistra onde os estudantes poderiam "comprar" bens para incluir nos seus cestos - itens generosamente doados nas semanas que antecederam o evento de serviço: roupa de cama e material de limpeza, artigos de higiene pessoal e utensílios de cozinha, tábuas de engomar e cortinas de duche, toalhas de banho e canecas de café - tudo coisas que os residentes poderiam usar para montar os seus novos apartamentos e sentir-se em casa.
Os estudantes reuniram mais de 20 cestos, e também doaram toalhas, lençóis, e outros artigos domésticos essenciais. Os estudantes criaram cartões e cartazes de boas-vindas aos residentes nas suas novas casas. A noite terminou com o jantar e a sobremesa na Sala de Chá Bernstein.
