Director of Drama
The Roxbury Latin School seeks to appoint a Director of Drama. Starting in August 2023, the successful candidate will direct two to three productions a year (Senior Play, Junior Play and a musical) as well as teach. In addition to teaching, all faculty members at Roxbury Latin are involved in two seasons of coaching a team sport or the equivalent in advising an extracurricular activity. Extracurricular activities include debate and Model UN, drama, set design and construction, publications, and community service. Each faculty member also serves as an advisor to several students. This position could be full-time or part-time (limited to just direction of the productions) depending on the candidate. Teaching Fellowships
The Roxbury Latin School will appoint two Penn Teaching Fellows (starting in June) for the 2023-2024 school year in any of the following areas: Arts, Classics, English, History, Math, Modern Languages (French or Spanish), Science, or STEM. The two-year program enables Fellows to earn an M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia while gaining real world, hands-on experience at The Roxbury Latin School in Boston. With the guidance of faculty mentors, Penn Fellows teach up to two classes at Roxbury Latin and are involved in two seasons of coaching a team sport or the equivalent in advising an extracurricular activity. Fellows benefit from the coaching of a veteran teacher and a range of unique professional development experiences.
