Junior teams don’t shy away from spring glory

While our varsity programs’ best spring moments often stand atop our athletics peak, younger teams accomplished their own impressive feats in the final season of the school year.

This spring we saw RL’s fourth lacrosse team, which was led by a new (but well-seasoned) Head Coach in Robert Moore, reach an impressive 11-4 record. Anchored by a resolved defense and a tactical approach by the coaches, the team earned victories over formidable adversaries including St. Sebastian’s and Nobles & Greenough all while holding their opponents to a 5 goals/game average.

On the other side of the spring sporting arena, the junior baseball boys earned their recognition playing against rival St. Sebastian’s School. A bases-loaded two-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the Foxes a walkoff victory against their ISL neighbors earlier in their 2016 campaign.
