Pep rally inspires weekend victories

R.L. performed outstandingly in various league competitions this past weekend. Protecting the home turf (recently named “The Den” in a senior-led pep rally), our Varsity squads and Junior teams claimed many exciting victories across their respective fields. On Schoolhouse Field, Football, led by viciously stout defense and its offensive playmakers, beat Nobles’ Bulldogs 26-0. Among the key plays was a forced fumble by Emmett Dalton (Class 1) followed by a bustling 80 yard touchdown recovery by Will Ebben (Class I). Soccer also added a win to their 2015 campaign with a 1-0 victory over Thayer Academy away.

In addition to top tier Varsity action from the Foxes, R.L’s Junior Varsity and Junior teams claimed multiple wins in Cross Country, Football and Soccer. In the biggest upset of the weekend, the Sixies defeated their Fifthie rivals in the annual tug of war. This bout marks the second time in 19 years that the Sixies defeated their nemeses in this traditional clash of titans.
