W J O'Reilly '67

A role model to me, my mother, Jacqueline D. O'Reilly, devoted years of her personal time as a volunteer to the Boston Ballet, Boston Symphony, and Boston Opera, culminating in the mid 1970s in her creation of the Special Commission on the Arts to raise tens of millions of dollars for the arts and education and serving as the Special Lottery Commissioner. Following her lead, I've served for the past eight years as partner and regional committee-member for Harvard College's Center for Public Interest Careers. Supporting Harvard's recent service initiatives, I mentor recent Harvard graduates in pursuit of service-oriented careers in media and education.
