Parents

In September parents attend a mini-schedule night and are walked through a shortened version of their son’s school day with 10-minute presentations by each teacher describing special course goals and content. Parent-advisor conferences in the fall provide an important opportunity to discuss a boy’s life at school in more depth, and a spring advisor letter summarizes a boy’s accomplishments and enumerates the areas where progress is needed. Faculty and parents work in concert from a similar set of core values toward the best interests of a given boy.

A boy’s education at Roxbury Latin is a partnership between the boy’s parents and the School.

Parents play an active role in school-related activities through the Parents’ Auxiliary, which sponsors events, provides hospitality for school functions, and sells a wide variety of School memorabilia items to raise funds for programs and events. The Headmaster regularly attends the Parents’ Auxiliary meetings, which are open to all parents.
