French Club
The French Club, open to boys in the upper four classes, offers opportunities beyond the classroom for boys to speak French and to broaden their knowledge of French culture. The club’s French Soirée, a community-wide event, has dozens of participants who sing, play instruments, act, and recite in French. Amuse-gueules (hors d’oeuvre) are offered to the audience, prepared and served by the Roxbury Latin Chef with the help of students. Club members also participate in trips to France every other year. Last summer, 51 boys spent two weeks in France—ten days in home-stays in Nice with French families and four days touring Paris.
