Parents Auxiliary

The Parents Auxiliary is the community of Roxbury Latin parents who volunteer their time and energy to support the School. The Auxiliary sponsors several major events each year, provides hospitality for many school functions, and sells RL memorabilia throughout the school year. The Parents’ Auxiliary also takes the lead in coordinating and communicating the Safe House Program, a longstanding collaboration with two other local independent schools to enlist parental support in keeping student parties free of drugs and alcohol.

Auxiliary events include:

  • The Blazer Sale, offering pre-owned blazers and sports equipment.
  • The Moveable Feast, pot-luck dinners at parent homes followed by entertainment, dancing, and dessert at the School—a social event for parents, faculty, and staff.
  • The Giant Yard Sale, a neighborhood tradition that is open to the public.
  • The Class I Dinner, a dinner for Class I boys and their families that celebrates the seniors' years at Roxbury Latin.
  • The Prom, for the junior and senior classes. Parents decorate and act as chaperones, and class members and their dates are invited to an After-Prom Party hosted by a Class I and a Class II family.
