An independent day school for 300 boys in grades 7-12, Roxbury Latin was founded in 1645 and is located in the West Roxbury neighborhood of Boston.

In addition to teaching, all faculty members at Roxbury Latin are involved in two seasons of coaching a team sport or the equivalent in advising an extracurricular activity. There are openings for coaches of lacrosse, football, baseball, basketball, soccer, track and field, and wrestling on both varsity and lower level teams. Extracurricular activities include drama, publications, debate and model UN, and community service. Each faculty member also serves as an advisor to several students.

Career Opportunities

The School seeks a talented individual to fill the dual role of Director of Summer/Auxiliary Programs and Head Varsity Football Coach. This is a full-time position, effective immediately. 
 
Roxbury Latin’s summer programs currently consist of specialized academic enrichment programs and sports clinics. There is tremendous room for growth. A strategic, entrepreneurial, visionary, organized, hard-working Director will capitalize on the School’s expansive/updated campus and facilities and city location to develop a menu of programs consistent with the School’s distinctive mission. The Director will assume responsibility for all aspects of summer/auxiliary programs management, from creation of new programs, marketing, hiring, and budget oversight, to registration, staff management, daily operations, and communication with parents.

Roxbury Latin School’s Varsity football team competes in the Independent School League, a competitive athletic association composed of sixteen New England preparatory schools. The Head Varsity Football Coach will develop and sustain a football program, with the aid of his assistants, that honors 'student-athletes' and reflects the School’s commitment to personal and team excellence.
