Dartmouth Aires put on a polished act

The Dartmouth Aires, of recent Sing-Off fame, performed for the School on December 8th at the end of classes. Nate Davis ’10 is the current RL representative in the Aires. (See photos here.)

The Aires recently rose to the top three of the national Sing-Off competition, where they competed with two other groups, Pentatonix and Urban Method, for first prize ($200,000 recording contract with Sony). The Aires flew out Los Angeles on November 19 to rehearse for a week before the finale. Though the Aires finished second in the show’s finale, which aired on November 28 after a week of audience voting, Sing-Off host Nick Lachey said the Aires represented “the best of college a cappella.”

Other Latonics alums who have enjoyed a carreer with the Aires are Fernando Rodriguez-Villa ’06, Matt Wang ’05, Ben Davis ’04, and Pete Simpson ’01.
