Tuition & Financial Aid

The tuition for 2008–2009 is $17,900, only 55 percent of the real cost of a boy’s education at Roxbury Latin. Income from the School’s endowment and contributions to the School’s annual fund-raising drive help keep tuition more affordable for middle-class families.

Roxbury Latin subscribes to the National Association of Independent Schools and School and Student Service for Financial Aid process and guidelines. The School also uses the CompAssist program, which allows for adjustments to the SSS recommendation. This includes use of a cost-of-living factor. Every application is reviewed by the School’s Financial Aid Committee.

More than a third of the student body receives financial assistance. All Roxbury Latin financial aid is based on an individual family’s need. Financial aid awards may be full or partial. Appropriate, additional aid is offered to ensure that every boy can participate in activities that complement the program, such as school trips.
